Completely independent of any tire manufacturer or supplier, Otraco’s strength lies in its technical depth and ability. We manage all aspects of the tire operation, take away all the day-to-day hassles, and provide lowest cost solution for the site tire operation – while allowing the Client to retain full control.

Otraco’s services include:

1. CONSULTANCY
Otraco provides independent, expert technical advice to guide essential management decisions in all areas related to earthmover tires including:

• Tire purchase and warranty agreements
• Tire and rim usage and cost budgets
• Selection of optimum tire brands and specifications for each application
• Tire, rim, suspension and wheel alignment maintenance techniques and procedures
• Tire operation guidelines covering haulroad, bench and dump design and maintenance
• Review of equipment operator practices and tire awareness
• Tire scrap, performance and warranty analysis
• Tire disposal options.

We routinely conduct site tire audits, providing a comprehensive report of tire related savings that are achievable, and how they can be realized.

2. TRAINING
Tire and equipment performance and efficiency is enhanced by Otraco’s exclusive training and development resources. The Company is an accredited training provider and offers a range of skill-based competency courses for:

• Tire management personnel
• Tire fitting personnel
• General workshop personnel
• Mine equipment operators
• Mine supervisors
• Mine design personnel.

3. ONSITE MANAGEMENT
Our Clients generally find Onsite Management to be the far most effective way of maximizing tire related savings, safety and mining equipment availability.

Otraco’s site based management team takes full responsibility for all tire-related functions from selection of tires through to their disposal, including all repair, reconditioning and warranty management. The team is provided with technical and training support, as required, from our head office.

Onsite management includes the consultancy and training elements discussed above, together with our proprietary management systems, including:

• Otracom™, our internet based tire database, analysis and reporting system, and
• OMS, our internet based Otraco Management System that encompasses Otraco’s health, safety, environment, community and continuous improvement systems; technical and workshop procedures; technical and safety reference library; and site specification plans for each Otraco operation.

While Otraco shoulders the responsibility, the Client has real time access to a comprehensive range of management reports and retains full control of the tire operation – at both a site and corporate level.
