Otraco International is a registered training organisation certified to deliver specialist training, assess competencies and issue qualifications recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Otraco’s training division offers structured learning modules and assessment in all aspects of tire fitting and repair for light vehicles and ultra-large earthmover tires.

As part of its commitment to reduced costs and increased performance on all sites, the Company employs experienced trainers and sophisticated resources to deliver 20 different training modules through a combination of formal coursework and on-the-job supervision.

Tire Serviceman Training – This program consists of theory sessions, on the job training, followed by practical assessment of competencies.  Units include safety, communication, tire selecting, tire fitting and tire maintenance.

Operator Awareness Training – This course fulfils an important function on a mine site in making operators aware of tire safety and maintenance issues.  It is primarily aimed at mine vehicle operators, but is also a useful introduction to tires for other mine personnel.  Experience has shown that operators with an awareness of tires can make a significant contribution to tire risk and cost reduction by complying with recommended practices.

COMPETENCY-BASED ASSESSMENT
Otraco Training Services is an accredited service provider under the auspices of the Australian National Training Authority, a statutory body established to raise the standard of vocational education across the country.

The Company has developed a range of exclusive tire fitting and maintenance courses designed to:

• Improve safety in tire servicing and repair 
• Improve the skills of tire servicing personnel, in line with national competency standards, to maximize tire life
• Raise the level of tire awareness on mine sites.

Otraco is qualified to deliver Certificates I and II in Automotive, Retail, Service and Repair (Australian National Competency Standard AUR05) and competency unit MNC04 for the fitting and maintenance of tires and wheels.

QUALIFICATION AND CERTIFICATION
Otraco provides a range of certificates acknowledging successful completion of individual units and courses. These include National Qualification Certificates for trainees who successfully complete all the requirements of a course under the Australian Qualification Framework.

Statements of Attainment are also provided for completion of one or more individual units of competency and Certificates of Competency and Attendance are issued for all courses not directly aligned with Australian qualification standards.

CULTURE AND LANGUAGE
Otraco is sensitive to cultural diversities and will modify training as appropriate.  Apart from English, Otraco currently delivers courses in both Spanish and Indonesian.
